How to UnTethered jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 with evasi0n 1.4

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2

NOTE: As always, before we get started, there are a few things to keep in mind here. This jailbreak guide is for users who are on iOS 6.1.2, this jailbreak support all Apple devices so don't worry and it is Untethered.

Be sure that your device’s passcode lock is disabled. The passcode lock can interfere with the jailbreak process. Also, make sure that when you upgraded to iOS 6.1.2, it was done, not via an OTA update, but via an iTunes update. While it’s possible that it will work, OTA updates have caused known problems in the past with regard to jailbreaks, it’s best to just play it safe. Okay, let’s get started!

STEP 1: Head over to our download page, and download evasi0n 1.4. The downloads are available for Mac, Windows, or Linux.

STEP 2: Save the evasi0n app to your desktop, and run it.

STEP 3: Connect your iOS device to evasi0n, and ensure that evasi0n detects your device. Evasi0n should work with any iOS 6 firmware from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1.2. In this case, you will be using iOS 6.1.2.

STEP 4: Click the jailbreak button, and the jailbreak process will begin. Be patient, as this takes a while. You will notice your device reboot several times throughout the entire process. The main thing is just to be patient.

STEP 5: Eventually, evasi0n will ask you to unlock your device, and tap the Jailbreak icon on your Home screen once. Follow these instructions, ensuring that you tap the icon only one time, and then leave the device alone and let it continue.

STEP 6: The evasi0n app will complete its course, and you will be able to click the Exit button. The iOS device, however, still needs to finish up a few additional steps, so again, be patient and don’t touch your device.

STEP 7: Eventually, the jailbreak will finish, and you can unlock your iOS device, and open the Cydia app on your Home screen. Cydia will need to initialize, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes. After the initialization is complete, the device will respring again.

STEP 8: Reopen Cydia, select Hacker, and begin enjoying your newly jailbroken iOS device running iOS 6.1.2.

Congratulations you've just jailbroken your iPhone running on iOS 6.1.2

How to install Installous 2013 - vShare on iPhone IOS6

How to install Installous 2013 - vShare on iPhone IOS6

Disclaimer: We don’t recommend Installous, vShare or any other Installous alternatives in any manner to Install .IPA files. iGeeksblog is not affiliated with any website/developer mentioned in this post, and we don’t encourage app piracy. Developers put a lot of effort to create apps and what’s a dollar or two to spend on buying these apps? The only reason we post on these alternatives is to help users try out costly apps before they decide to purchase it. Under no circumstances should this be misconstrued as supporting piracy or piracy-related apps.
Installous is gone. Hackulo.us has shutdown and there’s no more repo support from that team. As unfortunate as it is (Installous was our most loved Cydia app), things aren’t getting any better any sooner with no sign of any coming back from Hackulo.us team.
When things give you a run for your money (or time), the best thing to do is look for alternatives to Installous. We’ve been doing that for a long time now. There was AppCake which we reviewed a while back. However, you don’t find any other software like vShare (formerly AppVV).
With vShare, things are a bit different from your usual Installous alternative. It’s a Cydia tweak as much similar to Installous as it can be but there are several variations which make vShare quite interesting and popular.

You’ll need:
-->
How to Install vShare on Your Jailbroken iPhone:
#1. Get AppSync
Plenty of repos now host AppSync. The most popular one right now is HackYouriPhone.org (or SinfuliPhone repo). To get AppSync, follow this:
  • Open Cydia
  • Go to Manage -> Sources -> Edit -> and tap on Add
  • Type “repo.hackyouriphone.org” and tap on Add Source to add the repo
  • Now search for “AppSync for iOS 6″ – install it and you’re done!
#2. Get vShare
After you’ve installed AppSync, do the following:
  • Open Safari
  • Go to ‘http://v.appvv.com/en/
  • Click ‘Download/Install vShare’ to install vShare
  • Once installed, vShare will show up as an icon on the homescreen
#3. Download and Enjoy Apps
That’s it! Now get going. Look for apps on vShare’s interface and download them directly. AppSync will get them installed and synced on your iPhone/iPad.

Why vShare?
vShare is much better than Installous in terms of the download process because it lets you download the IPA files directly. This beats having to wait for downloaders, time limits and the captcha thing.
vShare also brought out recent changes and updates that make it iOS 6 compatible for all A4-devices that are jailbroken. Interestingly, there’s no official repo for vShare yet. This means vShare runs only on mobile privilege mode (as opposed to the root mode). There are few limitations due to this but they don’t affect the overall usage.

Disclaimer: We don’t recommend Installous or vShare or any other Installous alternatives to Install .IPA files because developers put a lot of effort to create apps and what’s a dollar or two to spend on buying these apps? The only way we recommend the usage of Installous and its alternatives when you are not sure if an app would really be helpful but would want to try it out before buying it.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1 UnTethered on iPhone 5, 4S, iPad 4, iPod touch 5 And More

Jailbreak iOS 6.1 UnTethered on iPhone 5, 4S, iPad 4, iPod touch 5 And More

the untethered iOS 6 jailbreak) released their Evasi0n Jailbreak utility. The new Evasion jailbreaking tool functions on Apple’s latest version of iOS: 6.1, while also supporting the older 6.1, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1.1 firmwares. For those iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners who have been eagerly following MuscleNerd, pod2g, planetbeing and pimskek’s progress this past week, this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for.

The Evasi0n Jailbreak is compatible with all devices running 6.1, 6.0.2, 6.0.1 or iOS 6, which includes the following

  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 3Gs
  • iPad with A6X chip (4th gen)
  • iPad 3
  • iPad 2
  • iPad mini
  • iPod touch 5
  • iPod touch 4
  • Apple TV 2nd generation (unfortunately, the third gen isn’t supported by Evasi0n)
Thanks to weeks of hard and tireless work, the Evad3rs Dev Team finally issued their all-new Evasion Jailbreak tool to the public and jailbreaking is now easier than ever. Evasi0n features an incredibly simple and straightforward GUI (graphical user interface), which enables users to easily administer the code required for an untethered jailbreak to either their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Apple TV. If you feel as though you’ve been stuck on iOS 6 through 6.1 and for far too long, continue reading our complete and in-depth jailbreak tutorial for step-by-step instructions on how to use the evasi0n tool to achieve full Untethered status.

Important Jailbreak Prerequisite:
Before we begin, if you wish to speed up the process and eliminate the possibility of encountering any errors, you’ll need to follow the simple restore procedure listed below – if you updated to any version of iOS 6 via Apple’s over-the-air (OTA) update feature, you must complete this tutorial before continuing.
  • Initiate a full backup of your iDevice via iTunes before jailbreaking your iPhone, iPod or iPad.
  • Retore to Apple’s latest 6.1 or 6.1.1 (on the iPhone 4S) firmware and continue. You should wait to restore your data until the jailbreak is complete.
  • Also, if your device has a passcode set, ensure that it’s disabled before following the instructions listed below.

How to Use Evasi0n For an iOS 6.1 UnTethered Jailbreak

Step 1:
Download Evasi0n from our download page to ensure that you have an authentic version of the tool.

Step 2:
Once Evasion has been downloaded in its entirety, extract the contents using the same method you would for any ordinary zip file (Mac users needn’t worry, as OS X automatically un-zips files). At this point we strongly advise that you place the files on your desktop for ease of use.

Step 3:
To continue through the jailbreaking process, connect your device to a computer via an official Apple USB cable.

Step 4:
Run the Evasi0n utility by launching the executable file downloaded in the first step. Once opened, you’ll be greeted by a basic window that features some useful text and a “Jailbreak” button.

Step 5:
If your iOS-based device was connected successfully, as listed in Step 3, the Jailbreak button will be clickable. Press the main button to initiate the untether jailbreak process.
Due to the jailbreak method employed by evasi0n, your device may look as if it’s restoring – don’t be alarmed, in actuality, it’s simply transferring the required jailbreak files.

Step 6:
At this point, the on-screen Evasi0n progress bar should display the active steps, it’s crucial that you refrain from touching your device, as it may interfere with the jailbreak process.

Step 7:
When prompted by evasi0n, click unlock your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and tap the Jailbreak icon once.

Step 8:
After the final process is complete, and your device has returned to its familiar lock screen, you’ll be greeted with the welcomed Cydia icon in what was once a blank springboard space.
